SOPP 2016 in Baguio City

Another SOPP or Symphony of Peace Prayers was held last May 15 in Baguio City at Villa Romana Inn. Aside from celebrating the 12th Annual SOPP, we also celebrated the 1st anniversary of the Fuji Declaration. This event was supported by the United Nations and the Fuji Sanctuary with simultaneous Peace prayers worldwide.

Before the event started, all the signages were up and hanging inviting different groups in Baguio for the event, the great tent was also raised up and the venue was already in order.

Volunteers helped in putting different flags of different countries around the Peace Pole.

Of course everybody was required to register first and while waiting for the SOPP to formally start, the early birds were introduced to a short Mandala writing workshop.

The SOPP formally started by appreciating the four elements and establishment of the sacred place with different flags of different countries surrounding the Peace pole at the center. After that, the message of Masami Saionji about the Soul of Women was read to everyone. Different women from different groups also shared their respective messages on the Soul of Women. Different religions were also represented in an inter-faith prayer for Peace. Chosen people also shared their prayers and messages about a World Without Conflict, the Environment, Direction, World Peace, for Oneness and many more. In between prayers, we prayed for all of the countries may Peace prevail in all of them and may their missions be accomplished. Two of our dear friends OrlandoJr Tiu de Guzman and Frans Kupang Udjan were also remembered and we offered them our silent prayers. We shall continue the works of Peace they left behind.

It was a very successful spiritual event and all of the participants were one as they all danced in solidarity and in Peace with one another. Until the next SOPP. May Peace Prevail On Earth!

Special Thanks to Maela Liwanag Jose, Sonny Zandueta and the rest of the organizers as well as all of the participants for making this event successful.
